Bird of the Week- Cornish Chough (Pyrrhocoarax Pyrrhocarax). This is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Also know as a Fire Crow. These birds were virtually extinct in Cornwall but are slowly returning after a long time and through conservation efforts, primarily Operation Chough operated by Paradise Park in Cornwall. These are intelligent and very interesting birds that will probe into soft soils and sand to get at invertebrates and other foods.
